Oxford Football Incorporated is a NZ Charity registered (CC62112) community sports club established in 2004 as a coordinator for youth players wishing to participate in learning and playing football in North Canterbury.  Our club is totally run by volunteers (Coaches, Managers, Committee, Fundraising) and services the predominantly rural communities of Oxford, Cust, West Eyreton and View Hill.

Our players range in age from 4 upwards, playing in local Saturday sporting fixtures as part of the Mainland Football League Competitions.

We've recognised that, for many families within our community, the cost of membership for children's sport is getting harder to afford with each season. This is especially true at this time, when inflation and the general cost of living is increasing almost daily, and fuel prices make travel challenging.

To make life a little easier for families within our Community, we offer every child aged 16 and under, who registers in our First Kicks, Fun Football and Youth Football programs, the opportunity to play football each year for FREE.

This means that Oxford FC will not charge any membership fees and will fund the Mainland Football and New Zealand Football fees for each child's membership within these programs. The children will still need their own boots, socks, shorts and shin pads to play, but we will supply the playing shirt as we always have done.

Our home is the Pearson Park Fields, Burnett Street in Oxford, where we have the use of one full size Senior pitch, one 3/4 size Intermediate pitch and two half size Junior pitches. We have shared toilet and changing facilities with the Oxford Swimming Pool and offer our members local discounts at the Oxford Gym. We also have a new full size Senior pitch  at Cust Domain, Mill Road in Cust, just 16km from Oxford town centre.

Oxford Football Club is going through an exciting period of growth, and has some pretty lofty ambitions to improve the facilities, benefits and support for club members over the coming seasons. One of the key projects is to install floodlighting for training on our Intermediate Pitch.

Would You Like To Help?

As a committee of volunteers, we know that these plans all take time, commitment and sponsorship from people who have busy day jobs and family lives. Without the work and commitment of these people, the club would simply not exist. The payback is seeing the enjoyment that the time and effort provides for the people within our community.

Oxford Football Club is seeking new volunteers to join our Club Committee. The Committee provides the governance oversight and management of the club, delivering the financial, operational, fundraising and management functions to field 9 teams between the age range of 6 to Adult. We meet one evening a month in Oxford, with time requirements as agreed based on any specific officer role, or project requirement.

If you can spare some time to help with growing our fantastic club as part of the Oxford Football Club Committee, please contact the Club President at president@oxfordfc.co.nz or direct message us through Facebook Messenger.
